small world
We went camping over memorial weekend to Baumgartner campground. It is a beautiful place just outside of Featherville, which is near Pine.
We had just gone on a little hike, and we passed some folks that were on the trail and one of the ladies looked familiar to me, but I didn't think much about it.
As we reached the bottom of the trail I saw an older gentleman sitting on a bench with the lady that looked familiar to me. I knew immediately that he was one of Grandpa's brothers. I knew Ezra was still alive, but couldn't remember anyone else. I went over to them and asked them if they were Robertsons, I told them who I was and sure enough it was Lamar and his wife and 3 daughters with their families. We visited with them for about a half hour of so. They were staying in one of their daughters cabins in Featherville. One of thier daughters had 2 sons named Colton and Caden...same as me.
You just never know who you will see roaming in the mountain trails.

Thanks Grandma!!!
Nate turned 16 in January and we made a deal that his first date would be with me or one of his grandma's and double with Rhett and I. (I wanted to make sure he knows how to treat a lady. Thanks for the great idea Natalie!) He decided quite a while ago he would ask Grandma Robertson and we would go on a double date.
Well last night we finally went and we had a great time. We went to Johnny Carino's for their Mother's Day Deal and it was really nice. We had a little wait, but we had a great time visiting and Grandma shared some wonderful stories from the wagon train. She had spent the day reading about their experiences and reminiscing.

I think Nate passed, he was quite the gentleman and even got a big hug from his date, before and after the date on the doorstep!
I have several sweet pictures of Grandma and Nate together, they have had a lot of fun together and we are so grateful for the blessing it is to have her in our lives! We love you Grandma!!!
What I love the most is Grandma's laugh, her laugh has always been contagious, when she laughs, everyone laughs. What I didn't realize is how much Donean's laugh was just like Grandma's!! How fun it is to be with her! I felt like last night Grandma Judy was there laughing and enjoying the night along with us, I could hear her laugh inside Grandma's laugh. It was awesome! Thanks for a great night!
Happy Mother's Day tomorrow Grandma and all the Mother's, especially our angel mother in Heaven, we miss you and love you so much Grandma Judy!!!!!

Trip To Southern Utah
I had to go to St. George for a work visit, so we made a trip out of it to get out of the cold. We spent three days riding 4-wheelers and took a drive to the grand canyon and through Zions on Sunday after going to the Apple Valley Ward in Hurricane. By the way - Stir the Pot is none other than the Justin Judy family - we like to mix things up every once in a while.
You should have seen the heel clicker Grandpa did on our "Moablike" ride.
Overlooking St. George.
This is how our trip to the north rim ended. Just so you all know, they don't open the north rim until May 15th. Jacob's Lake is really pretty though.
We crossed the Virgin River 23 times one direction and then 23 more time coming back! This is South of Zions close to Mt Carmel.

Grandma's unofficial Update
Hi! It's fun to see everyone and hear how you are doing. This has been a busy year so far. We got grandma hearing aids, new glasses and a perm so she could go to Texas and Washington with Dell and Doyle. She is enjoying hearing. She was asked to speak in Relief Society the other night for the R. S. B-day party. You all would have enjoyed her antics and the story of her life - complete with hats. She is in good health and enjoys the people of the ward. They are all very sweet to her. She was just called along with Sister peterson to teach the 7 year olds. It has been an interesting two weeks for her. She forgot kids could wiggle that much and need that much attention -- all of them --- at once. She always seems to be gone -- either to the temple, to "Super Sisters" (a group of women that get together to visit and have lunch) or to Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
We'll have to get some pictures. We'll be sure to get her over here to enjoy your messages and pictures. Lots of fun guys.

Hey everyone! It's so good to be able to keep in touch with you all! We're all just pluggin' along. Ty, Kendall and Brie are all starting 4-H again. I'm not quite ready for all that work again yet. They're all gonna do steers again and Brie wants to show her heifer(young cow for those not in the ranching lingo), too. We have a friend that wants me to get one ready to show at the State Fair this fall. So we'll see what time and sanity allows. Maybe not much! I'm still delivering mail here around Leadore 3 days a week. It keeps me out and about. I'm the Young Women's President and I'm starting to panic thinking that girls camp is a lot of work.
I'll type at ya all again later. Love ya, LaDonna

Hammer Family Update
Hailey and an art project she made at Halloween

Chloe taking cookies to preschool on her b-day

Caden snowboarding

Coelton at sweethearts dance

We are all well and happy. Today Joel and the boys are snowboarding at Bogus Basin. They got 16 inches of new snow! They couldn't pass it up and I think all needed a break.
Tonight we are headed to Cenntenial High for a speed jump competition. Hailey tried out for the "jump rope" team at her school and made it! she is 10 years old and is very active! She has to jump 100 times in 1 min.
Hailey is also clogging with Idaho Rhythm this year and is on the intermediate team. She competed in Nampa and her team took 1st and she also took 1st in her solo. We are headed to pocatello for another competition in a couple weeks.
Coelton is gearing up for Track season and is finishing up his Junior year. He is most excited about Cross Country this summer. He will race on Varsity next year.
Caden is ready for his PACE project to be presented on Tuesday. It is a big deal in the 8th grade. His project is on Dentistry. He wants to be a Dentist someday. He can now solve the rubiks cube in 30 seconds. Caden truns 14 on Monday.
Chloe is now 5 and keeps us all laughing and having a good time. She is so smart and loves to go to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I was released as the primary president and called to be the ward dance director for our youth 14-18. We are doing a 9 stake dance festival in April. Joel and I are teaching them the New York Hustle. It is a lot of fun and I have realized that teenagers are alot different from primary kids...it's kind of like herding cats. But we have fun and they really seem to enjoy it.

Glenn family update
The point of a blog...
is to actually post. Haha. We still have 11 open invitations, so talk to your families about it, if they need me to send them another e-mail to accept, I can do that. Just let me know! All of my family has accepted (and even posted, GO DAD!), so... score one for the Judy's. Just sayin'. Here are the e-mails that have yet to accept:
elmerfudd@myldsmail.net (I'm assuming this is Clay... so he's the only one that has an excuse. Or is he home yet? See... this is why you need to post!)

It's probably a good idea to bookmark this blog so you can remember how you got here, and check every couple of days so this thing doesn't die.

Wow! This is Going to be Fun
Hi!
I am excited about this new spot. DaNae you made it look really cute! We just got through with Stake Conference. We had a visiting authority -- Brother Calister. The message was inspiring.
The Loertschers came to have waffles with us and Grandma Robertson. We looked for Lyle at conference and we couldn't find him or he could have had whole what waffles too.
I'm excited about being on here and keeping in touch with everyone. The Robertson reunion is coming up in July. Do we need help!! How would everyone like to have our reunion starting on Thursday P.M. and Friday. The rest of the group we'll invite up for one day -- on Saturday. Should be fun. We can get in lots of trouble before they get there to add to the confusion.
We have to go home teaching -- so enjoy this story that came from my friend Marie Groberg.
I thought you would get a kick out of a very cute story!
This is a true story. Dr KC Tubbs is the Dr and he later joined the church. When he told us this story over a staff lunch, I thought that>we would die laughing. Dr Armstrong is from Manti and comes up about once a week to work in the clinic.
By: Robert Armstrong, M.D.
I work part-time as a teacher of family doctors. The program provides training on psychiatric disorders and emphasizes the importance of emotional support. The new doctors are given plenty of time in clinic to visit with their> patients and learn about their challenges. One of our interns who has never lived in Utah and knew nothing about Mormons is still struggling to understand the cultural climate here.
Last week he was interviewing a new patient and stumbled on what he thought was a raging psychosis.
Doctor: "Well, Mrs. Olsen, we've talked about your high blood pressure and your medications. Are you experiencing any particular stress in your life?"
Patient: "Oh, yes! It's the Sunbeams. They're driving me crazy."
Doctor: (very surprised) "The Sunbeams?"
Patient: "Yes, I've never had trouble with them before, but this group won't sit still. They bounce all over the room, and run out the door and up and down the hallway.
Doctor: (reaching for a pen) "Have you told anyone about this?
Patient: "Of course, I told the president."
Doctor: "Really! And, what did the president tell you?"
Patient: "She said Sunbeams are like that. I'm just going to have to learn to deal with them." Doctor: (concerned that he may be missing something) "I know people who are sensitive to sunbeams. Do they cause you a rash or anything?"
Patient: (confused) "A rash? No."
Doctor: "What's the biggest problem they're creating?"
Patient: "It's the noise. They just won't quit talking."
Doctor: (astonished) "The sunbeams are talking to you?"
Patient: "Well, yes. But mostly they talk to each other."
Doctor: (scribbling furiously in the chart) "I see. Can anyone else hear them talking?"
Patient: (after a moment of stunned silence) "You're not LDS, are you?"

Wecome
I do not post very often because my spelling is not very good and my punctuation is worse so if I have one long paragraph you will understand. As you probably now that I was layed off from work at the end of Jan. the company layed off about one third of all employees. I thought a job would be hard to find in this economy so I applied for unemployment, medicare and social security. Lets you know you are getting older when you can get medicare. I say I was forced into early retirement. I have learned there are a lot of hoops you have to jump thru when you try to take social security before you reach your full retirement age, they try to make sure there is no way you can meet all your bills it seems. Other than that everyone is doing alright.
I do not post very often but I do read so keep the posts coming.
Love you all
Lyle

Hello, and welcome!
If you're here, that means you have accepted your invitation to be an author on this blog, so congrats on making it this far.
Tobe and I were talking about an easier way to communicate with one another, and decided a big ole family blog was probably the best way. It'll be a great tool to update each other on what's going on with our lives, post pictures, plan the reunion (apparently our family is in charge of the big Robertson reunion this year), etc.
I have invited everyone to be authors, so you can each post an update whenever you want. I do need Krystal's e-mail address if someone has it, please! She is the only one I didn't have an address for. As soon as everyone accepts the invitation, I will make this blog private so only the authors can read it. So no need to worry about privacy.
Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to help! My e-mail is danaeslade@gmail.com. Now post away!
